Everything you need to know about pricing, trials, and managing your DeferredRev subscription.
Free trial
Every new DeferredRev account starts with a 14-day free trial of the Growth plan. Here's what you get:
- Full Growth plan features — QuickBooks sync, Stripe import, journal entry posting, audit trail
- Up to 50 active contracts
- No credit card required to start
- 3 pre-loaded sample contracts to explore
Pricing tiers
DeferredRev offers three plans designed for different stages of growth. See the full pricing page for a detailed feature comparison.
Starter — $99/mo
For small businesses getting started. Up to 10 active contracts, CSV export, revenue schedules, waterfall reports, and email support.
Growth — $249/mo
For growing SaaS companies. Up to 50 active contracts, QuickBooks Online sync, Stripe import, journal entry posting, audit trail, and priority support.
Scale — $499/mo
For mid-market teams. Unlimited contracts, multi-entity support, advanced analytics, API access, and dedicated support.
Annual billing is available at a 20% discount on any plan.
Trial extension
Need more time to evaluate? You can request a 7-day extension to your trial. To request one:
- Navigate to
Settings → Billing - Click
Extend Trial(available during the last 3 days of your trial)
Each account can extend once. If you need additional time, reach out to support@deferredrev.app and we'll work something out.
Upgrading
You can upgrade to a higher plan at any time. The checkout flow is powered by Stripe:
- Navigate to
Settings → Billing - Click
Upgrade Plan - Select the plan you want and click
Continue to Checkout - Enter your payment details in the Stripe checkout modal
- Your plan is upgraded immediately — new features are available right away
Managing your subscription
All subscription management happens through the Stripe Customer Portal. To access it:
- Navigate to
Settings → Billing - Click
Manage Subscriptionto open the Stripe portal
From the portal you can:
- Update your payment method
- Download invoices
- Switch between monthly and annual billing
- Cancel your subscription
Canceling
You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Stripe Customer Portal (see above). Here's what happens:
- Access continues — Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. No partial charges.
- Data preserved for 30 days — After your subscription ends, your account enters a read-only state for 30 days. You can still view and export all your data.
- Permanent deletion — After the 30-day read-only period, your data is permanently deleted. You'll receive multiple email reminders before this happens.
- Reactivation — You can reactivate your subscription at any time during the 30-day read-only period and everything will be as you left it.
FAQ
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Your contracts and schedules are preserved in read-only mode. If you exceed the contract limit of the lower tier, you can still view all existing contracts but won't be able to create new ones until you remove some or upgrade again.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes. You can switch at any time from the Stripe Customer Portal. When switching to annual, you receive a 20% discount and are credited for the unused portion of your current month.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a full refund within 30 days of your first paid subscription. After that, you can cancel anytime and your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period.
Is there a non-profit or startup discount?
Yes. We offer a 25% discount for registered non-profits and early-stage startups (under $1M ARR). Contact sales@deferredrev.app with proof of eligibility.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards and debit cards via Stripe. ACH bank transfers and wire transfers are available on the Scale plan for annual billing.
